OPTICAL EXPERIENCE
I started wearing glasses when I was eight years old, so I understood the challenges of choosing eyewear from a very young age. But my journey in the eyewear industry wouldn’t begin until I was just out of college. A friend of mine said, “Come with me—I’m interviewing for a job and they’re hiring two people at a company called LensCrafters.” My response to my friend was, “What’s a LensCrafters?” And the rest is over 30 years of history.
I think eyewear may have chosen me.

WHY DO YOU LOVE WHAT YOU DO?
For me, being in eyewear sales is about more than just selling glasses. The heart of this work is really about the fundamental right to clear vision. Not only does the right pair of glasses help someone to look and feel their best, the whole reason for eyewear to exist is to help people to see their best. It’s incredibly rewarding to be a part of that.
WHAT DO YOU KNOW WAY TOO MUCH ABOUT?
I’ve been raising and showing horses for a long time, so I know a lot about horses.
WOULD YOU RATHER WALK IN A BEEHIVE OR THROUGH POISON IVY?
Beehive, definitely.
FAVORITE COLLECTION?
I love the elevated glamor of Seraphin Shimmer. It’s luxurious, it’s elegant, it’s striking for all the right reasons. Every detail is so carefully constructed and each design so striking that these glasses become more than just glasses: they become these glittering, opulent accessories.
FAVORITE SCENT?
Lilac. Such a sweet, fresh, spring-like scent.
