Optical experience

I’ve been wearing glasses since I was eight, so I’ve lived the eyewear experience from the inside out—fumbling through frame choices, trying to find something that felt like me. But it wasn’t until after college that I stumbled—quite literally—into the eyewear industry.

A friend said, “Come with me—I’m interviewing at this place called LensCrafters. They’re hiring two people.”
My response? “What’s a LensCrafters?”
Spoiler alert: I got the job. And that moment kicked off a career that’s now spanned more than 30 years.

Looking back, I like to think that eyewear chose me. And I’ve never looked back.

why do you love what you do?

I believe eyewear sales go far beyond just selling glasses — it’s about empowering people with the clarity they deserve. Clear vision is a fundamental right, and the right pair of glasses doesn’t just enhance how someone looks or feels — it transforms how they see the world. Being part of that transformation is not only meaningful, it’s deeply rewarding.

What do you know way too much about?
I’ve been raising and showing horses for a long time, so I know a lot about horses.
favorite collection?

Lilac. Such a sweet, fresh, spring-like scent.
