OPTICAL EXPERIENCE
My love for eyewear began back in 1995 in my home city of São Paulo, Brazil. My neighbor owned an optical store, and I heard he needed help. I rang his bell and asked if he would hire me, and he said “Yessss!”
why do you love what you do?
I’m fascinated by glasses! Now, I get to share my passion with opticians! For me, a day visiting their offices is a day of learning new things. Apart from laughing and having fun, I get to listen to the needs of each location and make sure we all succeed together.
What are your interests and hobbies?
Well—since I consider exploring food a hobby—I enjoy eating at local restaurants. My husband and I are empty nesters now that our “no-longer-baby” girl is in college. So, we make our weekends fun together.
Would you prefer being stranded on a desert island or being dropped in the middle of times square?
I’d prefer 1000x more to be dropped in Times Square!
celebrity crush?
Keith Morrison (yes, the Dateline one) and Enrique Iglesias. I wish both could sing together: “I can be your heroooo babayyy!” What a duet!
FAVORITE frame and COLLECTION?
My favorite is the OGI collection. It is simply undeniable: no one puts OGI in a corner! The frame names themselves will speak to you and make you smile!
What is your life theme song?
My life’s theme song is “That’s Life” by Sinatra. It’s a pure-truth description of how life can be. Plus his voice is a dream.
What would your rapper name be?
I’d be Li’l Eggie. No question.
