OPTICAL EXPERIENCE
I was bitten by the optical bug at a very young age, so you could say I’ve been exploring eyewear and eye care since I was eight. Who knew then that it would become my career of over twenty years! I love the combination of fashion and science that optometry and optical business creates!
why do you love what you do?
Who wouldn’t love spending all day visiting their friends, talking about what’s new with the best in eyewear? To work with optical professionals, forming these relationships over the years, and seeing their businesses thrive is definitely the best part of my work.
What are your interests and hobbies?
I of course love applying my interests in anatomy, physiology, and the science of lenses and frames to this wonderful profession, but it can’t be all work and no play! I love to ski, swim, bike, and explore every beautiful place I pass through.
Walk in a beehive or through poison ivy?
I guess the Poison Ivy wins, since it can’t chase me like a bee would.
Would you prefer being invisible or rolled in glitter?
Invisible.
FAVORITE frame and COLLECTION?
Red Rose by OGI is a surefire winner, with relevant imagery and fantastic fitting; it has a frame for every face!
What do you know way too much about?
Color theory, food ingredients, and diesel emission systems. What a trio, and I suppose all relate in one way or another to my life of eyewear and sales... driving on the road, eating on the road, and helping opticals choose their frames!
