SERAPHIN AND SERAPHIN SHIMMER INTRODUCE THE FALL 2026 EYEWEAR COLLECTION
A Closer Look Changes Everything
Minneapolis, MN — (October 29, 2026) When it comes to design, true craftsmanship always has a tell. Maybe it’s the edge of a piece of metal that has been coined instead of left smooth, the weight and movement of a substantial barrel hinge, an antique finish that softens the metal just enough. Or an acetate color that transforms when the light moves through it.
Those small discoveries are at the heart of the Fall 2026 Seraphin and Seraphin Shimmer eyewear collections, two distinct expressions built around the pleasure of looking closer.
Rather than chasing a trendy notion of luxury, Seraphin returns to something more enduring: make beautiful things beautifully.

For Fall, familiar eyewear shapes have been redrawn and reconsidered, sometimes subtly, sometimes more decisively. Proportions are sharper, with frames like Hollis bringing the oval eye rim into exciting relationship with its bridge. Acetates have greater depth, as Marielle’s gently curved frame allows light to hit different angles simultaneously. Metal takes on warmer, more nuanced textures, highlighting hinge craftsmanship across frames. The styles bring the character of old-world optical workmanship into frames that feel unmistakably current.
There is history in the collection, but very little nostalgia.
A classic semi-rimless, for example, becomes something entirely different when a hand-finished acetate brow meets a slim sculpted metal chassis with coined detailing. Elsewhere, architectural acetate fronts are softened by beveling, unexpected laminations and metal hardware tailored into the frame. The Fall catalog itself describes this interplay of hand-finished acetate, sculpted metal and coined texture as a balance between vintage refinement and modern restraint.
The new color palette is equally thoughtful. Forest Havana, Rose Tortoise, Grey Gold Fade, Emerald Tortoise, Sienna Ember and smoky blues and greens move the collection beyond conventional heritage eyewear. These aren’t colors chosen simply to be noticed, or to recreate the past. They transform the personality of the shapes.

“What interested me this season was how much you can change a frame without making a big gesture,” says David Duralde, Chief Creative Officer and designer of the collection. “Change the proportion. Coin an edge. Age the metal. Find an acetate with incredible depth. Suddenly a familiar shape doesn’t feel so familiar anymore. I love that kind of design — the things you may not notice from across the room, but absolutely feel when you put the frame on.”
SERAPHIN SHIMMER: A DIFFERENT KIND OF BRILLIANCE
That idea takes an unexpected turn in Seraphin Shimmer.
Shimmer has always brought light and femininity into the Seraphin world, but Fall brings the collection even closer to the language of fine jewelry.
The Austrian crystals are not treated as sparkle applied to a finished frame. They become part of its architecture.

Custom metal settings hold and frame the stones. Some sit like miniature jewelry settings at the temple. Others trace the brow in a controlled line of light. Against black acetate, translucent tortoises, rose, tanzanite and polished metal, the crystals can appear dramatic in one frame and almost whispered in another.
That restraint matters.

In Shimmer 79, for instance, a constellation of Austrian crystals follows the upper contour of the frame rather than covering it, creating light precisely where it flatters the face. Shimmer 81 takes another approach, setting Austrian crystals into a polished metal temple and allowing the upward sweep of the frame, not the embellishment, to create the first impression.

“With Shimmer, the question was never, ‘How much crystal can we add?’ It was, ‘Where does the light belong?’” Duralde says. “That changed the way we approached the collection. When the setting is beautiful and the placement is right, one small detail can do more than a lot of decoration. That’s the kind of glamour I find interesting now.”
And perhaps that is what connects the two Fall collections most clearly.
Seraphin and Seraphin Shimmer aren’t interested in spectacle. Their confidence comes from somewhere else – from shape, material and the evidence of the hand behind the frame. Fresh acetate colors and custom metal finishes give familiar forms new character, while considered construction and unexpected details create the bespoke quality that has become central to Seraphin.
It is an approach to luxury rooted not in excess, but in restrained beauty, quiet authority and the pleasure of discovering something more the closer you look.
Seraphin finds luxury in the details.
Shimmer catches the light.
Both invite you to look deeper and discover more to delight in.
