THE OPTICAL FOUNDRY DEBUTS FALL 2025 COLLECTION: A PORTFOLIO OF INDEPENDENT VOICES FOR THE MODERN OPTICAL LANDSCAPE

Updated: 6 days ago

MINNEAPOLIS, MN (August 12, 2025) — The Optical Foundry, curator of distinctive eyewear brands, announces the arrival of its Fall 2025 Collections. This season celebrates the creative breadth of true independent eyewear, from bold color experiments and architectural minimalism to vintage-modern refinement and athletic-luxe innovation.

“Independent eyewear doesn’t follow trends,  it shapes them,” says David Duralde, Chief Creative Officer of The Optical Foundry. “Our Fall 2025 collections are purpose built for optical professionals who want frames that tell a story, connect with clients, and keep them coming back.”

The season opens with OGI, where playful geometry and witty color pairings meet confident gesture. The Parka, with its cupcake shaped acetate front in vivid triple-toned laminations, and Mini Soda, a butterfly silhouette blending perky pops of color with grounding tortoise, embody OGI’s fearless embrace of personality. Oh Shucks proves that metals can be fun, with precisely hand-painted lines adding intrigue from every angle.

From there, Article One takes center stage with its Athletic Transfer design ethos, a philosophy where performance function meets elevated form. Every detail, from rubber temple inlays to custom silicone pads and a seamless blend of acetates and metals, is engineered for movement while exuding refined, everyday style. Unlike logo driven brands that rely on billboarding, Article One lets design speak for itself. The Kent, a sleek, sporty acetate shape with a secure, flexible fit, and the Otis, built to transition effortlessly from workout to workday, prove that technical innovation and aesthetic sophistication can live in perfect balance. Sunglasses like the tastefully sculpted Lansing and the generous fitting Budd show how style and performance can join forces.

Red Rose then pares things back to architectural minimalism, made in Japan with ultrathin profiles and subtle scale play. The Atri, with its disciplined lines and touch of rim color, and the Romana, a larger lens silhouette in a featherlight build, capture the power of understatement. The Cadorno, with its scaled-up geometric metal form and tonal-fade acetates, delivers a look that feels both magnetic and minimal.  We definitely can see the drama in restraint this season with Red Rose.

Seraphin draws on old-world craftsmanship, reimagined for the modern luxury customer. The Mackey, a bookish round in rich acetate with vintage-inspired temple and hinge details, and the Malcolm, a rectangular matte acetate with a suede-like finish, showcase the brand’s ability to make heritage feel freshly tailored. The Niagara stands out for its sculpted presence and custom hand worked metal temple core wire, revealed through the acetate for a touch of artisanal intrigue.

For those who prefer their refinement with a hint of sparkle, Seraphin Shimmer offers subtle glamour. The Shimmer 59, a butterfly shape with a slimmed down acetate profile, exudes elegance with Austrian crystals set in the metal temple like fine jewelry. The Shimmer 70, a rectangular cat-eye in luminous acetate with discreet crystal inlays, turns heads without shouting.

Finally, SCOJO NYC 212 proves that value can still look designer with stainless steel and acetate combinations like the streamlined Lexington Avenue and the 59th Street, where sleek presence meets buttoned-down style.

Together, the Fall 2025 collections reaffirm The Optical Foundry’s role as a creative hub for independent eyewear, giving Optical Professionals a portfolio of distinctive voices designed to inspire loyalty, spark conversation, and shape the market.
