The strib is more than everyday news with its geometric angles at the corners and the ray of color stripes on the front endpiece. The pairing of a milled metal front in custom hand painted colors, with a very thin profile and flexible acetate temple makes this an extremely comfortable read. The Strib looks great on so many faces. Go ahead, try it on and spread the news.

Name Origin: Minnesota

When temperatures reach arctic levels, abbreviations are appreciated by Minnesotans, and so the Star Tribune became the Strib. In 1987, the two major competing newspapers in Minnesota (Minneapolis Daily Tribune (1867) and Minneapolis Daily Star (1920)) were consolidated to create todays Pulitzer Prize winning Star Tribune. The paper is ranked 7th in the nation and is distributed throughout the upper Midwest.
